Hackathon - My Future School

We are excited to announce the AI Academy Hackathon 2026!

Theme: My Future School

Location: 2265 116th Ave NE, Bellevue, WA 98004

Students will work in teams to design and build technology that improves the future of education. Participants may choose one of two tracks:

Track A: Game for Learning
Create a game that helps students learn in engaging and creative ways.

Examples:

• Math adventure game

• AI-powered vocabulary challenge

• History escape room

• Science simulation game

• Multiplayer collaboration learning game

Track B: AI for My School
Build an AI-powered tool that improves school life, learning, organization, or student support.

Examples:

• Homework helper

• AI study coach

• Lunch recommendation system

• Smart planner/scheduler

• Attendance or club assistant

• AI counselor chatbot

• Classroom productivity tool

Optional Preparation Day — May 30

• Review tools and project ideas

• Introduction to GitHub collaboration

• Team planning and MVP design

 

Build Day — June 6 (9:00 AM – 1:00 PM)

• Team development time

• Mentor support

• Progress demos

Demo Day & Celebration — June 13 (9:00 AM – 1:00 PM)

• Final development time

• Team presentations

• Judging and awards

• Celebration party

Students are encouraged to think creatively, collaborate effectively, and build something meaningful. No prior hackathon experience is required.

Possible technologies (not limited) include:

• Python

• Streamlit

• OpenAI API

• Pygame / Godot/ Unity

• Computer Vision tools

• Web apps and interactive experiences

​

Awards will recognize creativity, technical implementation, presentation, and overall impact.
